On the current path, AI will strangle government funds,
leaving us with nothing to fight the climate. Where is the
logic in that? Instead of taking jobs, AI should focus on
those priorities and protect humanity, not take us out.
Look at the children’s faces. What world are we going to
leave them? A world we just let happen or one we
proactively shaped?

AI will take hundreds of millions of
jobs. Forget part-automation, AI is
developing so fast. And we allow
this to happen, these jobs will not
return. AI can resplace most of us.
When jobs go at ten times the scale
of the worst recessions in history,
spending will stop. Destroying
industries who rely on discretionary
spending or contracts e.g. new cars
Government generate huge
revenues from employee and
employer taxes, sales and property
taxes. AI taking jobs also means
fewer offices and lower revenues
from businesses and town centres.
Plummeting tax revenues means
permanent cuts to social services,
education, police and emergency
services, and federal and state
administration. More lost jobs and
no funds to fight climate change.
Covid showed we keep little in
reserve, 1 to 3 mths the most
common. Few will risk losing their
homes, cutting prices to sell fast,
but who buys in a falling market?
The only thing that reverses falling
prices is a recovery—new jobs—
but that will not happen. Negative
equity will be a permanent feature.
People will lose everything.
All this will kick off social unrest.
Anger at corporate greed will fuel
resentment; people will turn to
crime, and AI offers many options.
Our world will descend into chaos.
As we struggle with poverty not
seen since the early 1900s mental
health will spiral to record levels.
No funds for police, social care, or
infrastructure projects - no hope.
